This Saturday is going to me my first Phoenix Cooks event and from what I hear, its going to be a ton of fun...See, I love to cook - in fact my wife took a cooking class a few years ago and to this day the meal they showed her how to make is our "Go-To" meal...There will be classes, drinks, and Mix! MY kids made their way to Dr. Peggy Myers office yesterday and had a fantastic time. I know, weird right? The thing about my dentist is that the first visit is all about touching the tools, and playing in the chair, and if they get to clean the teeth, then fine. If not, that's OK too. So here we are, the day after the final rose and Ali and Roberto are the happy couple, BUT WHAT ABOUT MATT LEINART, the quarterback from the Arizona Cardinals? Rumors out there that Ali was getting pretty flirty with him and that they might be dating. We texted Matt last night and this back from him:

Sunday morning we woke up and decided it was time for a Arizona day trip - so we loaded up the kids in the Prius and headed to Payson...I posted on my facebook page that we were headed up and everyone said we needed to do 2 things, (1) The Natural Bridge, and (2) the Fish Hatchery. Mother-in-law saw me NAKED???

OMG! I can't believe this...I think my Mother-in-law may have seen me buck naked last night. So here is how it happened...I sleep naked most nights like 32% of people (see poll below) and get ready for work downstairs so I don't wake up my wife and kids in the morning. Well, this morning at 3AM my alarm went off and I was walking out of my room just as my mother-in-law was headed to the bathroom. So I covered up my "stuff" and made a fast u-turn to my room. I grabbed my robe and headed downstairs. As I write this it's 5AM so they are not up and the anxiety is killing me...I can't wait to call and find out if she saw me...then I am headed to Target after the show to get some pj's!

I hate to bring Britney Spears into this, but I can't help it - she made me think about it. The story goes like this, she as this ex-bodyguard that is seeking his 15 minutes of fame...he said that Britney Spears was abusing her kids which prompted a standard procedure visit from social services. Well they found NOTHING and said that there were no signs of
abuse, adding that the "boys are happy well adjusted toddlers that love
their mama and Britney is fiercely protective of them." As a father of two who gets "tested" from time to time I always wonder about dicipline in public and what will happen. Do you feel that way too? It's like what will people think if I have to freak out for a minute? Personally unless someone is clearly abusing a child I have a lot of respect for a parent that remains firm in public. If you ask me, its one of the thing wrong with the world - that we are too scared to do the things we need to as a parent that will, in the end, make our children better!
Thanks for letting me vent, and Britney - I got your back on this one.

So I am one of the "lame" ones that hasn't read the books, I have not seen the first two movies either. I blame that on my kids though. However, all this press on the new Twilight movie has me intrigued to see it. Now I don't think I'll be at Harkins tonight for the showing of all 3, but I do think this is one of those movies that will make history. I can't find anyone to say anything bad about it. Everyone raves about the series! So, should I believe the HYPE? Will you???
